BetMGM and Washington Nationals Philanthropies are teaming up to spread some Thanksgiving cheer in a big way. Turkeypalooza, the annual event aimed at helping families in need, will be distributing a whopping 3,600 Thanksgiving meals and winter gear at four locations across the region.
This year’s Turkeypalooza, presented by BetMGM, will see the largest Thanksgiving food distribution to date, with 900 turkeys being given out from Monday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 22. The event, now in its second year partnering with BetMGM, aims to support even more families than ever before, reaching residents in need across four area locations.
In its sixth year, Turkeypalooza has continued to grow, providing families with not only a turkey, but also a bag of additional food, including shelf-stable items and fresh produce, to help local residents complete their Thanksgiving meals. This year’s distribution will see more than 3,600 complete meals being delivered into communities where food access is already a challenge.
But that’s not all. In addition to the Thanksgiving meals, winter gear will also be distributed to help families stay warm as the weather gets colder. Hats and gloves will be provided alongside the meals, ensuring that families not only have enough to eat, but also have the necessary gear to stay warm during the winter months.
The partnership between BetMGM and Washington Nationals Philanthropies demonstrates a commitment to giving back to the community and helping those in need, particularly during the holiday season.
